What people say...

As long as you have passion - true passion - for whatever it is that you do, trust me, you will succeed. You don't have to worry about winning or losing because with true passion comes success. Everyone has inner demons they have to fight off, some take longer than others. If you stick with whatever you have a true passion for, whatever makes you truly happy more than anything else in the world, you cannot fail, its literally impossible. I've never found anyone who has true passion for something and did not come out on top. I've seen many people who really want to succeed at something fail, and that's because no matter how much they wanted to succeed, without true passion, all that want and desire means nothing.

2013 Interview w/ Mack Roman of G-run Records

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Well.. to start we definetely need to find out the music preference of my clients, as well as the type of music for the event. You will want to think of a timeline of events. Different stages of a celebration may call for completely different music and I want to make sure I have the perfect song for each situation. Think to yourself if you want someone who wants to work with you while they are working for you. That's me!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your service?

The pricing may vary depending upon the type of event, length of event, amount of attendees, but is largely customized to you. I have performed at local fundraisers and refuse to take payment when it is for a good cause that I care about.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have performed as a DJ at all sorts of different bars, used to do a lot of high school dances when I was younger and college formals, then graduated to weddings and once I got my own equiptment it just really grew from there, I've actually performed at Salene Stadium before, was a great time, that set is on soundcloud.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have a rock albulm I finished in two weeks, and one that I've been working on for over 3 years! (laughs) The most recent track I made took me about 6 or 7 hours, it's a sort of a house track...

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I generally like to meet in a public place such as a restaurant, or coffee shop. We'll go over what would be required of me for your event. Basic details needed about the event are similar to the fields when requesting a quote. I pride myself in being very detail oriented. There may be options for activities such as any type of games, ceremonies, or announcements. You may not be ready to answer certain things... That's no problem (for instance a bride may not be sure about her father-daughter song yet) We can have a follow up meeting in some cases. Basically we just want to make sure that it makes sense to work together and make sure we are a good fit for one another. I am always open to helping in other ways with events if organizers need an extra hand ahead of time or afterwards. There is also a contract made available to you - which makes sure we are both covered. No commitments are required at our first meeting. I am proud to say that I have never had an incident that required anyone to refer to the contract and I plan on keeping it that way!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I was mentored by a Successful Local Music Producer/ College Professor who has received multiple Grammy awards. He has performed as a DJ at events for over 30+ years all over the country. I started off doing small gigs for him and with my success I came to shadow him at weddings. While training with him I was able to gain an some knowledge about the music business. I started performing at weddings with him and eventually broke off to work on my own. I was lucky enough that he actually provided me with a massive portion of his music collection. I dare you to ask for a song I do not have in my collection of over 70,000+ songs that grows everyday.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always been into music, I suppose it started when I had my first blank tape that i used to record funny sounds on. I started producing music a couples years prior to performing live and continue to produce, record, and create music from all different genres.
